Slash cuenta que ‘Sweet Child O’Mine‘ se gestó durante un ensayo de Guns and N’Roses; él tocaba unos acordes en la guitarra y Axl Rose se enganchaba a la melodía hasta el punto de componer la canción, tema que él mismo y Erin Everly, que sería luego su esposa, consideraron desde entonces ‘su’ canción.

En esta versión acústica Slash arranca con aquellos primeros acordes que dieron lugar a la canción y se acompaña por Myles Kennedy, uno de los cantantes elegidos por el guitarrista de Guns N’Roses para colaborar en su primer álbum en solitario publicado en 2010: Slash.
