Please Mr Postman fue el primer tema de The Marvelettes bajo el sello de la Motown y, como curiosidad, nada menos que con Marvin Gaye marcando el ritmo en la batería. La versión posterior de The Carpenters re-editó también el éxito de su original alcanzando el número 1 de la lista Billboard. Entre ambas versiones una más, la de los Beatles, a la que ponía voz el mismo Jhon Lenon.
