Aunque la banda se formó en Texas, su traslado a la fría zona central de Michigan significó el espaldarazo definitivo a su carrera. Un viaje con grandes altibajos pero que parece definitivamente bien encauzado.

El trío Mike Main & The Branches debutó discográficamente en 2010 con el álbum “Home”, del que se extrajo el sencillo “Miracle”, un tema de un sonido único y cautivador que tuvo bastante éxito y sonó repetidamente en las emisoras de radio. Un momento álgido al que siguió un pequeño desastre cuando en 2012 sufrieron el robo de su furgoneta, el remolque y todas sus pertenencias.

Sin embargo, Mike Main & The Branches supieron sobreponerse al batacazo y volvieron a pelear por hacerse un hueco en el poblado mundo de la música indie. En la primavera del pasado 2013 se marcaron una extensa una gira nacional por todo Estados Unidos en compañía de Relient K, Hellogoodbye, The Rocketboys, a cuyo final entraron en el estudio para grabar un segundo disco al que han titulado, no sin cierto sentido del humor, “Calm Down, Everything Is Fine” (Cálmate, todo está bien). El disco ha sido financiado en su totalidad a través de PledgeMusic.

Sonido indie rock muy pegadizo y fresco y pop rock muy optimista. Destaca la personalidad del cantante, Mike Mains, capaz de incluir fragmentos de canciones de cuna en una melodía bastante discordante y conseguir que el resultado final sea tremendamente atractivo, así como alternar tonos sobrios y notas altas con pasmosa facilidad y finura.
