«Clarity». John Mayer. Vídeo, letra e información.

La historia de Mayer podría ser la de un artista atormentado, pero combate abiertamente sus estados de pánico y la depresión, que le generaron a los 17 años una arritmia cardiaca de hospitalización, con alprazolam. Su ingreso por arritmia por fortuna para todos pasó por ser el desafortunado susto que le empujó a componer sus primeras canciones tras años de obsesivo aprendizaje de guitarra.

Procedente de Bridgeport, ciudad costera de Connecticut al norte de Nueva York, Mayer se confiesa influído por la música blues desde que le regalaran una casete de Steve Ray Vaughan a los trece años casi al tiempo que tuvo su primera guitarra, aunque su estilo pasa por el pop rock y el funk. Ha publicado seis discos desde el primer Inside Wants out que grabara sin sello en 1999 hasta el Born and Raised de 2012 con Columbia / Sony Music con los que ha logrado números premios, desde los MTV Video Music Awards y VH1 Big Awards a los Annual American Music Awards y, por supuesto 15 nominaciones a los Grammy de los que se ha llevado 9.

Con el disco Heavier Things que incluye este tema, Clarity, editado por Aware/Columbia en 2003,  consiguió dos discos de platino en Estados Unidos y otros tantos en Canadá y Australia.
