Facebook ha sido el medio elegido por la cantante neoyorquina Alicia Keys (1981) para regalar a sus seguidores la canción “We Are Here”, un tema que no ha salido a la venta, ni está previsto, y que inicialmente no está vinculado a un próximo lanzamiento discográfico de la artista. Simplemente es un obsequio a sus fans y al público en general y, además, una reflexión sobre el propósito de la vida humana.

Alicia Cook Augello, conocida en su trabajo como cantante, compositora y actriz como Alicia Keys, ha vendido más de 35 millones de discos en todo el mundo y ha ganado multitud de premios, incluyendo 15 Grammys, cinco de los cuales fueron por su álbum de debut “Songs In A Minor”, en 2001. Desde entonces, y hasta el momento, ha publicado en total cinco álbumes, el último “Girl On Fire” en 2012. Además ha aparecido en varias series de televisión, ha participado en tres películas y ha escrito tres libros.

Alicia Keys, casada con el productor musical, Dj y rapero estadounidense Swizz Beatz, ha anunciado el embarazo del que será el segundo hijo de la pareja. Tal vez por esta razón, y en vista de cómo anda el mundo, Alicia ha hecho esta reflexión existencialista sobre el propósito de la vida humana, de la suya en particular y de la de todos los habitantes del planeta en general. Inspirándose en su deseo de cambiar las cosas y convertir la Tierra en un lugar más amable y pacífico, la cantante reafirma su idea de una comunidad global en que todas las personas sean escuchadas y respetadas y vivan en condiciones de igualdad y dignidad.

Todo el dinero que genere la canción será destinado a diversas causas, como una sanidad pública que de verdad se enfrente a enfermedades como el sida, la malaria o el ébola; la pobreza, la salud y la exclusión social en la infancia, la educación o el control de las armas. Alicia Keys cree y defiende con fe la cooperación entre naciones, la fundación de una comunidad basada en la educación, en la renovación de la justicia y en la igualdad, sin discriminación. ¡Pobre! La cantante anima a sus fans a unirse en su lucha y a alzar sus voces contra la injusticia y les invita a luchar por un mundo mejor.

Y ya puestos, además de esta canción “We Are Here” y su correspondiente videoclip, ha decidido dar un nuevo empujón a su iniciativa y ha publicado en su cuenta de Instagram un posado desnuda, aunque recatada, y muy embarazada, con el símbolo de la paz dibujado en su abultada tripilla.
