Where’s the rider? And where the fuck is my money? Do you know who you’re talking to? Do you know who I am? I’m a singer in a rock n roll band I’m breaking hearts all across the land I read the plan on the back of god’s hand I don’t think you understand I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up! Alright let’s have it I’m not your average guy that was just a lie To disguise the monster that lurks behind my eyes If you get up real close you’ll see a fire burning bright And of a night I flick a switch and Dr Jekyll turns to Hyde My best friend’s a bottle, I’m a bar fight kind of guy Yeah I’m old school with a pool cue I don’t wait in line I just stroll through Haven’t the time I don’t owe you Follow the crowd like you’re supposed to After the show buy a poster Make sure you take a good photo I might use it for my promo And if you don’t know, then where’ve you been I’m Average Joe I’m a singer in a rock n roll band I’m breaking hearts all across the land I read the plan on the back of god’s hand I don’t think you understand I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up! Well if you want to see a bleeding heart Then take it from me because I wear it on my sleeve It’s a four-track ep, all about me n mine I’m an industry wet dream Man of mystery, I’m writing history, whilst pissed out of my tree You see it all comes naturally to me It’s like I’ve got a rock star disease But I guess it’s not contagious I ain’t heard no top shit in ages Quick! Fetch the vloggers and call the papers There’s a new kid on the block and he’s looking dangerous I’m a singer in a rock n roll band I’m breaking hearts all across the land I read the plan on the back of god’s hand I don’t think you understand I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up! I’d invite you to the after-party but there isn’t one Just me, my mouth and a sawn-off shotgun You can come if you want, but I doubt that you’ll have fun You see when all’s said and done, when all the songs have been sung and all the drink’s been drunk You can all go home and say well “that were good”, but I’ll still be stuck here with a deficit of love Cuz I poured it all out And it still wasn’t enough I’m burning on a cross that I made from rotting wood But I guess you work with what you’ve got and what I’ve got works good I’m a singer in a rock n roll band I’m breaking hearts all across the land I read the plan on the back of god’s hand I don’t think you understand I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up I’m just getting warmed up! Right, listen, if you don’t get me that rider, that television is going through the fucking window.
