Run To The River. Corizonas. Vídeo, letra e información.

Empezó siendo una colaboración entre dos grupos aparentemente muy dispares, tanto en lo musical como de edad. Salió de una gira compartida denominada “Dos bandas y un destino” y de un disco conjunto y ha terminado convirtiéndose en un proyecto de largo recorrido.

Los Coronas se llaman así no por su afinidad monárquica, sino por devoción a la población californiana en donde estuvo ubicada la fábrica de guitarras Fender hasta 1991, fecha en la que se trasladó, curiosamente, a Arizona. Surgieron por el afán de Fernando Pardo, miembro de la legendaria banda de Malasaña Sex Museum, de hacer una banda siguiera el legado de Dick Dale o Link Wray.

Arizona Baby, como el título en español del film de los hermanos Cohen, son de Valladolid y se autoeditaron su primer disco “Songs To Sing Along” en 2005. Tras participar en numerosos festivales en España y de convertirse en uno de los grupos con mayor proyección, ficharon en 2009 con Subterfuge, con quien han publicado un par de álbumes.

La unión ha dado sus frutos, tanto musicalmente, ya que han sido capaces de encontrar puntos comunes entre la Americana de Arizona Baby y el surf y rock & roll instrumental de Los Coronas. Su nuevo estilo fusiona el rock tradicional americano, con los riffs sureños y adoptar arreglos de folk y guitarras de country.

Corizonas ya han publicado tres Ep´s, un single y un Lp, “The News Today” en el que está incluido el tema “Run To The River”, una de las variadas posibilidades  estilísticas que presenta esta interesante formación.
