Edward Louis Severson III, más conocido como Eddie Vedder es el vocalista y uno de los compositores del grupo de Grunge estadounidense Pearl Jam desde 1990. Además, toca otros diversos instrumentos, incluyendo el ukelele, la guitarra, la batería o la armónica.
En 2007 Vedder lanzó su primer álbum en solitario como una BSO para la película Into the wild, del mismo año. En este álbum encontramos este tema Hard Sun que reproducimos de un cover en directo.
