Hey Ocean! Son canadienses, de Vancouver, y son básicamente tres. AshleighBall, David Beckingham y otro David, Vertesi. Los dos primeros eran compañeros de la escuela. El tercero se incorporó después. Ella canta, toca la flauta y el xilofón, el segundo toca la guitarra y el tercero el bajo y ambos hacen los coros. Así, tal cual, tan sencillo como eso. Luego tienen un puñado de buenos colaboradores, como Devon Lougheed, que toca el teclado, o Johnny Andrews, a la batería. Pero Hey Ocean! son ellos tres, ellos componen, ellos cantan, ellos graban desde que los dos primeros se juntaron con Vertesi, en el 2005, y han grabado tres álbume con una decena de vídeos. Su música indie, entre el pop y el rockalternativo, también se acerca al folk. Big Blue Wave, el ‘smash hit‘ del grupo que puedes escuchar ahora, se grabó el pasado 2012, y pertenece a su último álbum IS. Les va a llevar por un impresionante tour este verano.
