Arcade Fire se han alzado esta semana con ‘Reflektor’ con la primera posición en la lista británica de éxitos, un hito que ya consiguieron con ‘The Suburbs’. Este nuevo doble disco, un trabajo de pop puro, está levantando grandes pasiones, así como críticas de todo pelaje, dando muestras de que no ha pasado ni va a pasar desapercibido.

Su duración, nada menos que 75 minutos para tan sólo 13 canciones, lo convierte casi en un experimento cultural posmoderno. Eso sí, unas dependen de las otras, hasta el punto de formar una única pieza de arte. En unos momentos en los que el mercado musical parece más dominado por la industria del merchandising que por las siete notas sobre el pentagrama, es de agradecer que otro tipo de propuestas tengan tanto éxito entre el público.
