Amalia se ha editado como single dentro del disco The Absence de la cantautora norteamericana de Jazz Melody Gardot, cuya carrera musical comenzó a los 19 años durante una larga convalecencia en cama tras ser arrollada por un coche y como terapia ante la posibilidad de que le hubieran quedado secuelas del traumatismo cerebral. Hoy, a sus 27 años, Melody Gardot ya cuenta con tres discos y el reconocimiento internacional a su calidad como cantante y compositora.
