Las influencias siempre son para todo un grado. Si creciste en el norte, estudiaste en Europa, y dedicaste seis años de tu vida a practicar un deporte, todo eso hacer carácter, imprime sentido a según qué cosas de tu vida. Y lo de Kate debe de ser algo así.

Nacer ella nació en Edimburgo, de madre chino escocesa y padre irlandés. Adoptada a los poco días de nacer, Kate pasa a formar parte de una familia de cinco, con un padre profesor universitario de Física y una madre profesora. Pero espera, espera que aún hay más. Porque si todo esto ya marca una vida, la suya, aún sin ella saberlo, ya venía determinada por la genética, y a los 20 años descubrió que su padre era un cantante de música folk.

Y entonces el folk llegó a su vida. Desde dentro, para quedarse y desarrollar una carrera musical, que comenzó en 2004 y hasta 2013 le ha dado cinco trabajos musicales, entre los que Drastic Fantastic de 2007 nos regala esta pieza.
