Se llamaron Running Red y Glass Onion pero tras grabar su primer disco en 1993 («The Glass Onion EP») cambiaron su nombre a Travis, el nombre del protagonista de la película de Win Wenders «Paris, Texas» de 1984. Su tercer álbum, «The Invisible Band» de 2001 incluía este tema «Flowers in the Window» que llegaría a lo más alto de las listas británicas, y del que se dice, se cuenta, se comenta, Paul McCartney es coautor.  Sea o no, es uno de los temas más significativos y vitales, de los que más enganchados nos tienen, de esta banda de Glasgow.
